The ACA defines prosthetic parity as insurance companies covering prosthetic care on par with other basic medical services. This Blog is intended to help groups organize at the grassroots level to support the state and federal campaign. We met with Senator Patricia Ticer’s office in December and she agreed to file the bill. A bill will was introduced in the state of Virginia for prosthetic coverage in 2007!! This is incredibly exciting.
The Assembly bill was re-introduced by Assemblywoman Gunther. The new bill number is A01274. The bill was referred to the Insurance Committee. The Senate bill was re-introduced by Senator John Bonacic. The new bill number is S01672. The bill was referred to the Insurance Committee.
