National Week of Action Kicks off on April 26th!

The Amputee Coalition of America is launching a coast to coast “Week of Action” tomorrow in order to build support for the federal parity law. From April 26th to May 2nd, volunteers from across the country are collecting postcards, holding house parties and organizing in-district lobby meetings in support of the federal Prosthetic Parity Act of 2008.

At this time, we have 83 events confirmed in 76 different cities in 34 different states.

We sent out over 10,000 postcards. Activists are gathering signatures on the cards. The Advocacy Office will collect the cards and head to Capitol Hill on May 13th & 20th along with local volunteers to drop them off in person at congress members' offices.
