Basics about the ACA Lobby Day

You need to make your own appointment with your House member unless one is already scheduled. The ACA is setting up the appointment with the senate offices.

Join us for the first annual Amputee Coalition of America lobby day in Washington, DC on June 11th!

Right now insurance companies are limiting amputees’ access to prosthetic care. The federal Prosthetic Parity Act (House Resolution 5615) would set a consistent standard for providing prosthetic care. We need your help to pass this important legislation!

On Wednesday, June 11th the ACA is excited to bring together amputees, health care practitioners and other supporters for a day on Capitol Hill in support of legislation for meaning coverage for prosthetic devices.

We hope you can join us in Washington, DC on June 11th as we work to push Congress to pass the Prosthetic Parity Act (HR 5615)!

LOUISIANA: Act now to pass parity legislation in your state!

BREAKING NEWS! House Bill 318 will be on the Senate floor Tuesday, May 27th. The Senate goes in at 3pm. Please continue with the phone calls, emails, letters and faxes to ALL Senators.

IOWA: Stand up for prosthetic parity!


The Iowa General Assembly adjourned on April 22nd. Unfortunately, due to a number of circumstances they did not take action on the parity bill this year. Although the general session has ended for 2008, we feel it is important to get the word out about the bill. We feel confident that with some media attention and community support, the House will support this legislation, and we will get a bill in place in 2009!
